Rob Kardashian makes rare statement about Bruce Jenner

After Bruce Jenner gave his first televised interview in which he stated that he has "always" dreamt of becoming a woman, the Kardashian-Jenner clan took to social media to show their support. One family member who tends to keep a low-profile, Rob Kardashian, made the rare move of following suit.

The 28-year-old reached out to his stepfather Bruce on Twitter, posting a heart-warming message that was made public to his 5.5million followers.

"You have always been a role model to me and now more than ever, I look up to you. LOVE YOU," wrote Rob.

Kim Kardashian's younger brother also retweeted messages from several celebrities, who all echoed his sentiments.

"Bruce Jenner is a beautiful, brave human being. Sending him lots of love. He's saving lives and opening minds tonight," wrote comedian Ellen DeGeneres.

Grammy Award-winner Sam Smith posted: "Absolutely flawed at how courageous and brave Bruce Jenner is. So inspiring and so powerful. Shame on anyone who dare judge x."

"I am a woman," stated Bruce Jenner in his tell-all interview with Diane Sawyer

Bruce confirmed that he is transgender in a tell-all interview with Diane Sawyer on Friday. The former Olympian, who was married to Kris Jenner for almost 25 years and has two other ex-wives, stated "I am a woman."

"My heart and my soul and everything I do in life, it is part of me, that female side is part of me," said Bruce, before referring to himself in the third person. "That's who I am. I was not genetically born that way but we identify as female."

The 65-year-old received an outpouring of love from his family, including his six biological children and his famous Kardashian stepchildren.

Kendall Jenner shared a heart-warming photo on Instagram saying that she wanted to be like her dad

Kendall, his eldest daughter with manager Kris, posted a simple message on Twitter, writing, "I love you. So very proud of you, my hero."

The model, who also changed her profile picture to one of herself, her sister Kylie and her dad Bruce, followed it up with an Instagram photo of an old school notebook. "If I could be anybody in the world, I would be my dad," the excerpt read.

"I wrote this in 5th grade... nothing has changed," explained Kendall, 19, alongside a heart emoticon.
