Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting fulfilled the wish of one of her biggest fans on Wednesday. The Big Bang Theory actress connected with terminally ill cancer patient Nicole after hearing she wanted to speak to a star from the show.

The 29-year-old was first told about the teenager's wish by her friend Nikki Lund, who had seen a post about Nicole on Instagram.

"When I heard Nicole's story and how much she loved Big Bang Theory, I just had to connect with her in some way," Kaley told Us Weekly. "Through her amazing family, and help from people like Nikki and others, we were able to FaceTime and send little videos straight to Nicole – her two thumbs-up was a sure sign that, at least for a moment, she was happy.

"She is lucky to have such an amazing family and I felt honoured to share in such a wonderful moment," she added.

Kaley's friend Nikki was equally pleased to help arrange the phone call, and revealed that the actress even stayed up all night to make sure she could connect with Nicole, who lives in Britain.

"When I contacted Kaley about this, she immediately said, 'Of course, whatever I can do to help, I'll do anything. She waited up all night for the call, since they are in the UK."

The fashion designer shared a snippet from one of the videos, in which Kaley tells Nicole she might look a bit different since she recently dyed her hair pink.

Kaley unveiled her new hairdo on Instagram at the end of April, and revealed that she had been considering the dramatic change for a while.

"Have wanted to do this for years! Finally went pretty in pink!" she captioned a photo montage of her new hair. "Thank you @vspaeth for giving me such a special color! Obsessed! @andylecomptesalon #doyou."
