Pink addresses weight critics: 'I don't take well to bullying'

Pink has hit back after being criticised about her weight. The singer said she would not accept people "bullying" her over her recent weight gain, adding that despite her fierce reputation she is still a real person with feelings.

"I don't take well to bullying. I never have. I'm not a person that will be bullied. I'm not a person that will stand by watching other people bullied," she told Entertainment Tonight at the BMI Pop Awards.

The 35-year-old, who is mother to three-year-old daughter Willow, added: "I'm raising a girl. I am a girl. People think I take no s**t and I'm tough, tougher than nails, but I'm a human being."

Pink was responding to fans who suggested that she had put on weight after her appearance at the John Wayne 30th Annual Odyssey Ball in April. At the time the singer replied with a lengthy Twitter post, and said she felt compelled to do so to remind the critics that their opinions have no value.

"I think people have gotten it wrong," she said. "They think their opinion matters and holds weight, and I don't know where or why they're giving themselves so much credit, you know? So I thought it would be important for me to remind them that I don't care."

The singer said she likes to cook for her husband Carey Hart

She continued: "My life is full. I like food a lot and I really like to cook. I like to live. I find joy in that and we're doing alright in the Hart household."

The Try singer has previously said that she wants to be a good role model to her daughter when it comes to body image. Speaking to Who magazine in 2014, she declared that despite being "ten pounds heavier" than she was before her pregnancy, she is now "much more patient" with herself.

"I'm a person who could always lose a couple (of pounds) here and there," she added. "But I'd rather be strong than bony."
