Caitlyn Jenner is using the incredible journey she has been on over the last few months to inspire others. The 65-year-old is confirmed to embark on a multiple-city speaking tour called Unique Lives and Experiences in 2016, where she is expected to talk about her gender transition.

Called Up Close and Personal, Caitlyn's talk is likely to address her brave decision to reveal her true self to the world in an interview with Vanity Fair earlier this year. She will travel to Toronto, Vancouver, Denver, San Francisco and Seattle as part of the five-city tour, which begins at the end of February 2016.

Caitlyn Jenner is set to go on a speaking tour in 2016

Caitlyn has experience of public speaking and moved the audience to tears with her powerful speech as she accepted the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPY Awards in July.

Making her first high profile appearance, Caitlyn took the opportunity to thank her family for their support, as well as voicing her own support to the people who are going through their own personal problems.

"It's not just about one person. It's about thousands of people. It's not just about me, it's about all of us accepting one another," Caitlyn said. "We're all different. That's not a bad thing – that's a good thing. And while it may not be easy to get past the things you don't understand, I want to prove that it is absolutely possible if we only do it together."

Caitlyn has been supported by her family throughout her transition

Caitlyn has described her own personal journey as "eye-opening, inspiring, but also frightening," and has since written in her blog about her hopes for the future.

"I can only hope by sharing my story, there's someone out there whose mind has been changed about trans people," she wrote in September.

Caitlyn has been supported throughout her journey by her family, including daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, as well as step-children Kourtney, Kim and Khloé Kardashian. However the former Olympian has been returning the favour by supporting the family following Lamar Odom's hospitalisation last week.

While she did not join her family to visit the NBA player at the hospital, Caitlyn is said to have been keeping a close eye on Lamar's health.

A source close to the family told People: "Caitlyn has been in constant contact with the girls throughout this whole ordeal."
