Last year, Tara, a former IT Girl, revealed that she had been receiving treatment for her condition since January 2016. The growth in her pituitary gland was discovered following numerous blood tests after she began to feel terribly run down the previous summer.

She told the Daily Mail: "I went to the doctors to talk about my latest blood test results when I got back from skiing in January. I said: 'What does this mean? Can you translate it?' And the doctor said: 'As I suspected, you have a brain tumour.' I got terribly frightened. I started thinking, I'm going to die, I'm going to die. I've only got a couple of weeks to live.' Stuff like that."

Prince Charles was Tara's good friend

Tara, who was close to the British royal family, was Prince Charles' good friend. A regular face on the London party scene, she was known for her busy social life. However, Tara revealed that she had closed the door on her former lifestyle. "I have been very, very blessed to have done the BAFTAS, Oscars events and so on – so many of them in so many years. I appreciate and remember every one," she told HELLO! magazine. "However, now I am switches. I just like roast chicken with my mates around the kitchen table. Maybe that's a sign of my age. People come to my house now. I don't like to look too much into things. Hey, after the rain there's always sunshine!"
