Justin Timberlake, Drew Barrymore and 7 other stars who tip generously

Say what you will about Justin Bieber, but the Canadian pop star is no cheapskate. The 20-year-old reportedly tipped 200 per cent after treating his girlfriend Selena Gomez to a pancake breakfast at IHOP in 2011.

Barack Obama is reportedly a fairly liberal tipper. The President has been known to leave gratuities that range from 35 to 85 per cent, even if he’s just picking up a sandwich for him and his security team from the local deli shop.

Johnny Depp is known for being one of the best celebrity tippers around, having given very, very generously in the past, including one time when he reportedly left $1,500 on a $2,600 tab. On another occasion, he forked over a $4,000 tip at the legendary Chicago steakhouse Gibbons. On top of being ungrudging with his cash, Johnny is also heralded as a low-maintenance customer who is exceptionally kind to staff.

Rather than deal with tipping percentages and equations, Drew Barrymore puts a 100 per cent tip on the bill every time she goes out. Former bartender Ana Ortiz, who is now a famous actress, can vouch for the generous star and claims she’s received this sum from Drew many times.

After playing a soccer match, David Beckham headed to Joxer Daly’s bar in California for a little R&R with his mates. Victoria’s handsome husband, who drank only mineral water all evening, thanked his waitress with a $1,000 tip – even though the bill came to just $100!

It’s not entirely surprising that philanthropists Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are generous tippers. After enjoying a romantic meal at Japanese restaurant Berlin for Angelina’s birthday last year, Brad left the waitress an impressive gratuity of $700.
