The theatrical release of the new Beauty and the Beast film will see the magical reunion of two of Britain’s kindest and most talented actresses - Emma Thompson and Emma Watson. The beautiful Brits first joined forces as Professor Sybil Trelawney and Hermione Granger, respectively, in the Harry Potter films and are now preparing to enchant audiences all over again  as Mrs. Potts and Belle in Disney’s latest live adaptation.

It was such a big part of my growing up,” Emma Watson shared on Facebook, “It almost feels surreal that I'll get to dance to 'Be Our Guest' and sing 'Something There'. My six-year-old self is on the ceiling - heart bursting!”

The brunette starlet may have been born in Paris, but after growing up in England she is as much an English rose as London-born Emma Thompson. Both women loved acting as children, with Emma Watson  making her foray into film at the age of 11 in 2001’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Emma Thompson , on the other hand, took her time developing her craft before venturing into TV in 1982 at the age of 23.

They are also firm believers in female empowerment , with both lending their voices to women’s rights issue around the world. And when it comes to admiration, Ms. Thompson has a fan in her younger co-star. “Emma Thompson springs to mind,” Emma once said when asked who she thought was the most beautiful woman in the world. “ She’s such a lovely person .”

As we count down the months until Beauty and the Beast hits theatres (March 17, 2017) and cross our fingers that Emma and Emma take on the press tour as a dazzling duo , Hello! Canada  celebrates their special day - today Emma Watson turns 25 and Emma Thompson turns 56 - but revealing 10 more things that the Emmas have in common.
