Lena Dunham lands her first Vogue cover

Lena Dunham’s Vogue spread has arrived!

The Girls star gets a glam makeover for the long-awaited cover, sporting plenty of Twiggy-inspired eyeliner and wearing her short, pixie haircut modishly tousled.

Tugging at a polka-dotted collared shirt as if to say, “who, me?", the fashion magazine dubs her "The New Queen of Comedy" on February's issue.

Within its glossy pages, Lena poses with her on-screen boyfriend Adam Driver in a variety of surreal and high-fashion shots. Snapped around New York City by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, one picture even has a common pigeon resting bizarrely on Lena’s head like a feathered pillbox hat.

“Lena is a strong, confident woman who charts her own path, and that, to my mind, makes her an inspiring role model,” said Anna of the decision to feature the 27-year-old in the publication.

HBO's shining star is known for her quirky sense of style. Most recently, she made a decidedly glamorous red carpet entrance at the Golden Globes in a sunny Zac Posen gown.
