Cameron Diaz teams up with Pour La Victoire for shoe collection

Hot off the heels (as it were) of publishing her first lifestyle book, Cameron Diaz is now making her foray into the world of shoe design.

The actress signed on as artistic director for the high-end footwear brand Pour La Victoire in July of 2013, and is now releasing her first collection of functional-yet-fashionable high heels.

Priced from $250, Cameron, 41, says she wanted her inaugural shoe collection to represent “something clean” without “too many bells and whistles.”

Comfort also played an important role in the creative decisions, with lower heels and practical straps taking centre stage in the design process.

“For both Charlie’s Angels movies, we wore heels, ran in heels, did kung fu in heels,” she explained to Women's Wear Daily. “We weren’t pretending. Heel function is a very important thing for me.”

Cameron Diaz's Pour la Victoire collection will be available for purchase at Shopbop.com this fall.
