Angelina Jolie and Stella McCartney team up for ‘Maleficent’ kids clothing line

Angelina Jolie is teaming up with British designer Stella McCartney to create a children’s clothing line inspired by her upcoming film, Maleficent.

"I've always been a huge fan of Disney growing up, as was my mother [Linda McCarthey], and I grew up watching all the films like most kids did," Stella told Women’s Wear Daily. "When the opportunity presented itself and I was invited by Angelina Jolie to visit the film set, I jumped at the chance."

The mother of six, 38, stars as the evil villainess in Disney’s reimagining of Sleeping Beauty. Her daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, plays a young Aurora in the film – and will no doubt be enchanted by her mom’s kid-friendly creations.

Ranging in price from $75 to $180, the capsule collection will feature eight styles for children ages four to 14, including sparkly princess dresses and t-shirts emblazoned with dragons.

In true Angelina fashion, 10 per cent of all sales will go towards SOS Children’s Villages, an organization that helps provide homes for orphaned and abandoned children.

The line hits stores in April ahead of the film’s May release.
