Adam Levine collaborates with fiancé Behati Prinsloo on womenswear collection for Kmart

He’s the frontman of band Maroon 5 and a coach on The Voice, but Adam Levine is adding an unexpected new endeavour to the mix: Womenswear designer for Kmart.

After the success of his menswear line for the North American department store, Adam was tapped to design a summery collection for women with pieces retailing for $30 or less.

“I kind of know what I like for both men and women. I think that it’s a little more difficult and challenging when you’re not, it’s not something you can conceptualize, or it’s not something you can conceive of wearing,” the “Moves Like Jagger” crooner said in an interview at the launch of the collection.

Adam wasn’t alone, though, as he collaborated with his supermodel fiancé, Behati Prinsloo, on several pieces for the collection, which boasts printed T-shirts, crop tops, twill and jean shorts, and patterned maxi dresses.

Adam used the launch of the collection as a platform to address any skepticism people might have, stating, “I don’t know how to read music, but I can still play. So I don’t really give a (expletive) about formal training or going to school. You don’t have to be trained in everything to be good at it.”

The 35-year-old singer and Victoria’s Secret model, 24, have been engaged since July 2013.
