Audrey Hepburn’s gorgeous granddaughter, Emma Ferrer, is stepping into the spotlight.
The 20-year-old beauty has landed her first modelling gig, covering the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar — and she’s clearly inherited her grandmother’s svelte figure and high cheekbones.
Posing in a number of outfits that mimic Audrey’s timeless look, including a stunning, black-and-white Lanvin gown, the art student describes her feelings towards her family’s legacy.
“I've been questioning a lot lately what she means to me,” says Emma, who is currently studying at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy.
“I knew her image, of course, and that I happened to be, by pure chance, related to her. But as a child I couldn't really relate to Audrey Hepburn, the actress. To me, she was family.”
Emma never got to know her famous grandmother, who passed away in 1993, one year before she was born. Audrey’s oldest son, 54-year-old Sean Ferrer, is her father – the product of Audrey’s 14-year marriage to Mel Ferrer.
Audrey's young protégé isn't the only one keeping glamour in the family. Harper's fashion spread was shot by Michael Avedon, who is the grandson of legendary photographer Richard Avedon – to whom, incidentally, Audrey played muse.
Twenty years after her death, the iconic actress — who won an Oscar for her role as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's — is still fondly remembered for her classic style, her ethereal grace and her tireless work with UNICEF,for whom she was a goodwill ambassador.
