The 39-year-old actress is glamorously robed in agolden gowndesigned by Dior’s atelier. The frock, which took an exceptional 1,060 hours to create, required 22 yards of chiffon, 4 yards of silk organza and 20 yards of tulle.

250 hours were allotted to the sketching and main construction, while 60 hours were reportedly used to trace gradients onto the dress. What’s more, a staggering 750 hours were occupied sewing the beads onto the garment by hand, one by one, to create the piece’s magnificent cascading effect.

The outcome is nothing short of spectacular.

In a behind-the-scenes video, Charlize describes the ensemble as“dancer-esque,” noting, “There was something about this dress that wasn’t structured to the body and yet had beautiful lines.”
