Cressida Bonas has been unveiled as the new face of Mulberry’s Spring/Summer 2015 ad campaign. Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend, who was a dance major at the University of Leeds, will show off her dance moves in a video for the British fashion brand, which will also co-star British actor Freddie Fox – whom the boho beauty is reportedly dating.
Speaking about her new gig, she told Yahoo Style at the video’s premiere party last weekend: “I think it was just about being free and happy, and having fun.”
“The idea was, ‘ dance as if you're dancing in your kitchen.’ It was more about a dance that was improvised, and not all about the steps. It was really just about having fun.”
The advertisement is expected to go live in March. Cara Delevingne is still the official face of the brand, while her friend, Cressida, plays “muse” – a role that she’s embracing wholeheartedly.
Last week, the budding thespian sported two identical Mulberry dresses at two separate A-list events – one in white for the BAFTA Tea Party, and another in black for a Golden Globes after party.
It’s been a whirlwind year for Harry's former flame, who split with the redheaded royal after two years of dating. The stylish socialite is thought to have ended things with Harry, 30, so as to focus on her acting and modelling career— and it seems her efforts have been paying off.
In June, Cressida landed her first big-screen role in the film Tulip Fever, in which she co-stars with BFF Cara. She also nabbed a spot on Vanity Fair’s annual International Best-Dressed List for the first time in 2014, joining the ranks of Hollywood stars and royal icons like Duchess Kate.
