As one of the most famous models in the world, Gisele Bundchen has made a surprising decision: she's saying goodbye to the runway next month. The 34-year-old supermodel will reportedly end her catwalk career on home turf, walking for the Brazilian brand Colcci during Sao Paulo Fashion Week. Gisele has fronted countless campaigns and shows for the brand, so it's a fitting place to say goodbye.
Brazilian news website
Estado have reported that the mother of two will continue to lend her striking looks to editorial and brand campaigns. Gisele has been decreasing her catwalk work in recent years, but has still made appearances for high-fashion brands like Chanel - she walked in their Spring 2015 show last September alongside the likes of Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid.
The Brazilian beauty continues to enjoy a highly successful career and has been named the World's Highest-Paid Model by Forbes Magazine eight years in a row, having pocketed more than $47 million last year alone.
Scouted when she was just 14 years old, Gisele has gone on to walk for countless designers including
Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, Dior, Valentino and Marc Jacobs, as well as becoming a Victoria's Secret Angel in 2000. She has starred in hundreds of campaigns and has become the muse of many high profile fashion photographers including Mario Testino and Steven Miesel.
The model and actress also enjoys a strong fan base with millions of followers on Instagram and Twitter, with whom she often shares photos of herself and her American football-quarterback husband, Tom Brady, as well as sneak peeks at her upcoming campaigns and projects.
The pair recently celebrated after Tom Brady's team, the New England Patriots, won the Super Bowl, with Tom racing over to kiss his wife as she sat in the stands with the couple's two kids, Vivian and Benjamin.
