Spring has officially landed on the doorsteps of Europe’s most elegant royals, and they happily welcomed the new season this week. From the Monaco Rose Ball (Charlotte Casiraghi’s pink sequinned gown? Flawless!) to Queen Maxima of the Netherlands’ pretty floral dress, the name of the game this week was chic and colourful.
Princess Caroline of Monaco and Charlotte Casiraghi enjoyed some quality mother-daughter time as they headed to Monaco’s glamorous Rose Ball, joined by Chanel maestro Karl Lagerfeld. Charlotte showed off her style credentials in a pale pink short-sleeved sequinned dress which had black sequin detailing on the pockets and down the front, adding a pair of black stilettos to complete the look. She wore her hair in a chic slicked back updo and opted for show-stopping smokey eye make-up.
Meanwhile, Princess Caroline was the epitome of elegance in a cream floor-length gown, which included bejewelled straps. She accessorised with some sparkling statement jewellery to complete the look, and wore her hair in 1920s style waves for ultimate glamour as she enjoyed the party which included a performance from Lily Allen.
Elsewhere in the world, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands made the effortless transition to a spring wardrobe during a visit to Burma. The stylish royal was seen in a series of colourful outfits, from printed cropped trousers to floral dresses and multi-coloured skirts.
Princess Mary of Denmark also made heads turn during a visit abroad, wowing in a pale blue dress with three-quarter length sleeves as she joined Crown Prince Frederik in Tokyo Japan, where the pair took a trip to the Shibuya crossing. The elegant royal went for a laidback chic style, keeping her accessories to a bare minimum and wearing her brunette locks in a chic half-updo style.
