She may be one of Europe’s most esteemed reigning monarchs, but Queen Letizia of Spain isn’t afraid to have a little fun with fashion, especially where the latest trends are concerned.
Attending the 'Barco de Vapor' and 'Gran Angular' Literature Awards in Madrid on Tuesday (April 21), the Spanish royal turned heads in a cool navy-blue jumpsuit, which she wore with a gold lame belt cinched at the waist to show off her slender frame.
Queen Letizia teamed the ‘80s-inspired ensemble with a coordinated pair of strappy Magrit sandals, a Carolina Herrera clutch and bracelet with matching chandelier earrings by Paz Sintes, which showed off the sharp new bob hairstyle that falls to her jawline and emphasizes her high cheekbones.
One would be hard-pressed to find another royal with Letizia’s adventurousness. We’ve certainly never seen the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, sport a jumpsuit of any kind – though little Prince George is clearly a fan of dungarees!
However, when it comes to price, Letizia took a page out of Kate’s affordable stylebook. The zippered jumpsuit is available on Mango.com and retails for just $109.95.
Of course, Queen Letizia always dresses appropriately for any occasion and was back in her elegant attire the very next day to host a formal lunch at the Casa de Real. She wore a pleated blue skirt paired with a crisp white blazer and accessorized with blue heels and Links of London earrings à la Kate.
It’s the latest in a series of stylish outfits for the journalist-turned-Queen, who attended the Women Awards in a showstopping, strapless black sequinned dress earlier this week.
