Look no further than Hollywood’s elite for the freshest takes on spring’s top trends. Suede, summer whites and fringe took the stage this week with ensembles from Cate Blanchett, Nicole Richie, Miranda Kerr and Amal Clooney.
Cate took to Giorgio Armani’s 40th Anniversary Party in an Asian-inspired two-piece by the designer, which featured an oversized obi sash and pointed-toe pumps. In an opposite take on white dressing, quintessential cool-girl Nicole Richie put her own spin on lingerie-inspired fashion in a silk number from Calvin Klein Collection paired with a mint topper and sexy single sole sandals.
Ahead of the annual Met Gala, model Miranda Kerr was spotted on the streets of NYC looking fabulous as ever in an oversized cream coat, Mansur Gavriel bucket bag, and white J Brand jeans. Jessica Alba also taught us the value of classic outerwear in a single-breasted multi-tonal piece by Gerard Darel, worn with distressed jeans, camel Jenni Kayne d’Orsay flats and a striped button-down shirt for a trip through L.A.X.
Amal Clooney turned heads in Manhattan (unfortunately sans beau) in an ivory Gucci dress with a floral motif and '70s-esque suede coat by Alberta Ferretti. And actress Lizzy Caplan also rocked an old-school vibe in a paisley-print Mary Katrantzou frock at the California screening of her hit show, Masters of Sex.
Alexa Chung, Zoe Kravitz, Selena Gomez and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were also among the week’s chart-toppers in outfits that varied from sweet and sassy (here’s to you, Selena!) to totally modern.
