Mugging for the cameras on a parade of Cannes’ red carpets is a serious feat, so it’s no surprise that festival attendees – including a group of the world’s most in-demand supermodels – enjoy opportunities to let their hair down and hit the dance floor. One such event was the amfAR gala on Thursday night (May 21).
Douzen Kroes, Joan Smalls, Lara Stone, Kendall Jenner, Jourdan Dunn and Karlie Kloss were pictured having a ball at the 22nd Cinema Against AIDs Gala at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Thursday evening.
The genetically blessed ladies showed off their moves on the dancefloor as the annual charity event got into full swing.
The stars were joined by singer Robin Thicke, who looked delighted to be dancing alongside the supermodels.
Karlie was stunning in a champagne-hued Tom Ford dress with a choker collar, while Lara wore a gold Grecian-style wrap dress and flat gold sandals.
Her choice of footwear comes just days after reports emerged that women had been turned away from the red carpet at the Carol premiere in Cannes because they were wearing flats.
Also attending the event was Sienna Miller, who dazzled in a slinky Ralph Lauren Collection metallic dress and chunky platform heels.
Gigi Hadid, meanwhile, sported a risqué Tom Ford dress that featured a high collar with a vertical cut-out running the length of the torso.
The evening’s festivities were curated by Carine Roitfeld and guests were treated to live music from Mark Ronson, Imagine Dragons, Mary J. Blige and Charlie XCX.
Last year’s event raised a record $35million for amfAR – a foundation dedicated to ending AIDS through research – which is chaired by Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein and supported by his production company The Weinstein Company.
