George Clooney may have embarked on an action-packed journey to Tomorrowland, but wife Amal Clooney is clearly the new queen of style country. At the film’ s Tokyo première on Monday night (May 25), the 37-year-old beauty was as dazzling and statuesque as any Hollywood starlet in a gold-hued satin halter gown with flower appliques at the neck.
The Lebanese-British beauty turned to style maestro John Galliano, who created the custom-made gown as part of his new role as creative director for Maison Margiela.
Amal herself showed off her fashion-forward credentials, complementing the gown with chic accessories – she carried her essentials in a shimmering golden box clutch bag from Bulgari, and completed her look with a pair of gold Manolo Blahnik stilettos.
Her glossy black locks were left down in sleek tousled waves, and her subtle make-up featured smokey eyes and a slick of pink lipstick.
It proved to be an extra special night out for Amal, who was joined by her half-brother Samer Alamuddin at the glitzy premiere.
No doubt she enjoyed some rare time off to catch up with her family, amidst a hectic schedule back in New York City, where she and George are currently living.

The couple moved to the Big Apple where George is filming new film Money Monster – meanwhile, Amal joined Columbia University this spring as a visiting faculty member and as a senior fellow with the law school’ s Human Rights Institute – alongside her job as a human rights lawyer.
George recently opened up about married life.“I’m very happy. It’ s exciting,” he said earlier this year. “I really love my wife, I’ m having a great time and I’ m very proud of her. I couldn’ t be more proud of the things she does.”
