Amal Clooney's new stylist is John Galliano's partner Alexis Roche
Amal Clooney has been a poster girl for John Galliano of late, wearing custom-made gowns by the designer to two high-profile red carpets in recent weeks. This follows John’s new post as creative director of Maison Margiela, a position he took on in October 2014.
The first appearance was at the Met Gala, where the lawyer dazzled in a scarlet tiered dress and just weeks later she rocked a gold halter neck gown to accompany her husband George to the premiere of Tomorrowland.
Amal looked stunning on both occasions, but her fashion choice drew some criticism from fans who felt that, with Amal being a human rights lawyer, it was inappropriate for her to work with the designer who made anti-Semitic remarks in 2011.

But the reason behind Amal joining forces with the somewhat controversial fashion figure has become clear – his partner Alexis Roche is seemingly Amal’s new stylist.
Alexis has added the two looks to his online portfolio and posted several photos of Amal to his social media accounts with the caption, "styled by me".
The stylist has dressed many high-profile women including Uma Thurman, Marion Cotillard and model-of-the-moment Kendall Jenner – he was responsible for the Azzedine Alaia crop top and skirt ensemble that she wore in Cannes.
Maison Margiela representatives declined to comment on Alexis’ position as Amal’s stylist, simply saying: “The Maison wishes not to speak on this subject just yet.”
