As the new face of mass retailer H&M, a pretty, perky Katy Perry joins a long line of celebrities who have fronted campaigns for the brand, including Gisele, Beyoncé and David Beckham. The pop star heads up the 2015 Christmas campaign.
“H&M was one of the places where I first began cultivating my personal style," said Katy.
“I have continued to love integrating H&M pieces into my wardrobe throughout the years. One of the reasons I love the holidays is being able to dress cosy and cute, which H&M executes so well for every budget.
“I can’t wait for you to see the world we created with Jonas Akerlund and Dan Jackson.”
Taking to Instagram, Katy shared the news with her 23 million fans. “Ladies, Gentlemen & unlabeled- let’s take a petite pause on the beauteous summer we are experiencing & open our calendars tooooo…THE HOLIDAYS! I am excited to announce that I will be starring in @hm’s#HappyandMerry Holiday Campaign launching later this year!!! Stay tuned for the whole unwrapping!”
H&M announced their new girl on Instagram, teasing followers with a series of jigsaw puzzle posts that made up an image of Katy from the campaign.
“We are so thrilled that Katy Perry will star in our campaign this holiday season. We love everything about Katy, from her incredible talent and energy to her playful sense of personal style,” said Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M’s Head of Design.
