The Kardashian-Jenner clan never met a red carpet they couldn’t dazzle, and the ESPY awards – where the Arthur Ashe Courage Award was presented to Caitlyn Jenner – were no exception. Looking the picture of a style icon in Atelier Versace, the 65-year-old was honoured for her decision to publicly transition.
Caitlyn was the epitome of elegance as she took to the stage in the white, long-sleeved dress that featured delicate ruched detailing on the waist and a subtle train. The Olympic gold medallist gave an emotional speech as she accepted the award, thanking her family for their support.
“Here comes the tough part,” she said with tears in her eyes. "I’d like to thank my family. I never wanted to hurt anyone else, most of all my family and my kids. I always wanted my children to be so proud of their dad for what he was able to accomplish in his life.
“You guys have given me so much support. I am so grateful to have all of you in my life. Thank you.”
Proudly watching in the audience were her children Burt, Brandon, Brody, Kendall and Kylie, as well as stepdaughters Kourtney, Kim and Khloé. Renowned for their high fashion ensembles, Caitlyn’s family pulled out all the stops for the glitzy event.
Kendall and Kylie won plaudits as they hit the red carpet in show-stopping dresses. Kendall, 19, showed off her model credentials in a black floor-length gown by Alexander Vauthier with sheer panels which gave fans a glimpse of her enviable figure. Meanwhile Kylie, 17, wore a dazzling gold sequinned gown with long sleeves and a high neckline.
Older stepsisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloé formed the ultimate stylish trio as they proudly watched Caitlyn from the audience, all opting for effortlessly cool black ensembles. Kim, who is pregnant with her and Kanye West’s second child, looked chic in a black one-shouldered gown with white ruffle detailing, which matched Kourtney’s sleek gown perfectly. Khloé meanwhile rocked an edgy dress with a cage-like bodice and nude panels.
