Vanity Fair has just released their international best-dressed list and in 2015 it’s decidedly regal. The hotly anticipated round up recognizes the most sartorially smart stars and celebs and commends them on their red carpet wares. Several familiar faces from Hollywood made the list, including Amal Clooney, Taylor Swift and Diane Kruger, as did royal favourites Prince Harry, Charlotte Casiraghi and the impeccably dressed Queen Letizia of Spain.
While Prince Edward’s stunning wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex, dressed to impress this year, the Duchess of Cambridge was notably absent from the list after a five-year run. Kate made many fashionable outings in the months leading up to the birth of her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and her omission has left many confused. Other surprising names missing from the roundup include Sarah Jessica Parker and newlywed Jennifer Aniston.
The top honours went to a pair of design experts, with Tiffany & Co.’s design director Francesca Amfitheatrof leading the pack of stylish women and architect and decorator Robert Couturier taking first prize for the men.
Also, as part of this year’s feature, Vanity Fair recognized the world’s best-dressed couples (including new parents Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife Sophie Hunter and newlyweds Beatrice Borromeo and Pierre Casiraghi) as well as celebrating staple Hollywood style queens and kings like Sienna Miller, Emma Stone and Eddie Redmayne. The team added Qatar’s stylish first lady Sheika Mozah bint Nasser al-Missned to their best-dressed hall of fame for donning standout attire from the houses of Valentino, Giorgio Armani and Dior.
