The blue carpet at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards was a runway for some of Hollywood’s most stylish stars to flex their fashion prowess. From Britney Spears to Nina Dobrev and Rita Ora, A-list attendees capitalized on the carefree celebration in a rainbow of designer duds and chic accessories.
Britney Spears, sporting new multicoloured tresses, shined in a high low creation by Canadian designer Mikael D (read our interview with the designer here!). The low cut lace gown is from the Montreal native’s Pre Fall 2015 collection. The pop singer made the night a family affair bringing her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden, and niece Lexie along to the Galen Centre in Los Angeles.
It was a bittersweet night for Toronto’s Nina Dobrev, who turned heads in a body-hugging Zuhair Murad mini dress. During the show, the 26-year-old actress choked up while giving her acceptance speech for Choice TV Actress for her portrayal of Elena in The Vampire Diaries. The star announced earlier this year that, after six seasons, she is ready to move on from the hit science fiction drama to tackle new opportunities. “As this chapter of my life comes to an end,” a tearful Nina told the audience, “I look back at it with a grateful heart and I smile. These are six incredible years that I’ve had the pleasure of sharing with all you guys. I wouldn’t be here without you.”
The parade of fashionable celebrities was led by Choice Actress queen Chloë Grace Moretz, who kept cool in a Gucci snake-print top and black maxi skirt, and Rita Ora, who matched her light pink hair with a red-hot Max Mara pantsuit.
