Amal Clooney traded her short and flirty Versace dress for an equally striking yet more demure look on Wednesday (Sept. 30), slipping into a buttoned-up red shirtdress with a retro vibe. Hot on the heels of her first anniversary with husband George Clooney, the human rights lawyer was a scarlet siren while out and about in New York.
The 37-year-old turned heads in the bright red tailored tweed dress by Dolce & Gabbana, which featured short sleeves and oversized buttons. Showing off her style credentials, Amal accessorised the elegant gown with a tan handbag and a pair of asymmetric-patterned heels.
This week has seen Amal rocking bright colours while making the transition from a summer to autumn wardrobe. On Tuesday night the Lebanese-British beauty was spotted rocking an eye-catching bright green dress as she and George attended a screening of O Brother, Where Art Thou?, the film that George Clooney won a Golden Globe for back in 2001.
It’s been an exciting week for the couple, who celebrated their first wedding anniversary since tying the knot in a magical ceremony in Venice last September.
George recently opened up about his first year of marriage. “We sure are having fun,” the actor told People. “We had a beautiful anniversary, and we’re having fun.”
The Tomorrowland star still remained tight-lipped when it came to revealing what he’s learned as a newlywed.
“That’s a good question, but I can’t officially tell you any of those things because that would be wrong, and [Amal] would be upset if I told anyone what I’ve learned.”
Last year George and Amal married in a wedding covered by HELLO! magazine, in conjunction with People. “My verdict on being Mr and Mrs Clooney? It feels pretty damn great,” George told HELLO! after the ceremony.
