Burberry is known to enlist an all-star cast for festive ad campaigns, and this year’s Christmas offerings are inspired by Billy Elliot.
The three-minute campaign film will be unveiled on Tuesday evening. It’s likely that Romeo’s parents David and Victoria will turn up to show their support for their son – they were in attendance at the unveiling last year.
Other stars to join Romeo in the video include Elton John, supermodels Naomi Campbell and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Rosie’s brother Toby, Julie Walters, George Ezra, Michelle Dockery and James Corden.
“Billy Elliot is an incredible film full of so much joy and energy, so it was a real thrill and a great honor to be able to celebrate its 15 year anniversary through our Festive campaign,” said Christopher Bailey, who is the British brand’s chief creative officer and CEO.
“It was also a huge privilege to work with such amazing and iconic British talent—the cast are quite simply some of the biggest names in film, music and fashion and it was so much fun working with them all to make this special film.”
Shot by renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino, the film sees the British cast model the brand’s classic trench coats and festive red plaid scarves.
Romeo’s campaign news comes the morning after mother Victoria scooped the Luxury Brand of the Year award at the Walpole British Luxury Awards 2015 on Monday night.
The star dazzled in a gold sparkly dress from her own line as she accepted the award. The dress finished at the ankle and had a drop waist effect courtesy of a low-slung belt.
The former Spice Girl was clearly delighted with her accolade, taking to Instagram to share the news. “Thank you @walpole_uk. Such an honour to be named British Luxury Brand of the Year x vb,” she wrote alongside a snap of herself accepting the prize.
