With Hollywood's best-dressed leading fellows as their inspiration, sartorial tastemakers like Alicia Vikander, Victoria Beckham, Amber Heard and Olivia Wilde tried menswear-inspired tailoring and suit details on for size this week to an effortlessly refined end.
Swedish beauty Alicia Vikander led the pack in an all-white two-piece Victoria Beckham ensemble for the première of The Danish Girl in Washington. The 27-year-old face of Louis Vuitton has been on our radar this year for her breakout roles in The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Ex Machina and her latest, a buzz-worthy drama in which Eddie Redmayne plays her transgendered husband. Keeping her style track record intact on the promotion trail, Alicia continues to nail her red-carpet look every time.
Another one to watch from the Tom Hooper-directed film is American actress Holland Roden. The Teen Wolf star, 29, rocked a boldly patterned two-piece suit from Edeline Lee's Fall 2014 collection, featuring a peplum sleeveless top and slim trousers.
Also taking her style cues from well-heeled A-list men was Olivia Wilde, who arrived at the New York screening of her indie film Meadowlands wearing a black Michael Kors jumpsuit. The gorgeous mom, who has 19-month-old son Otis with fiancé Jason Sudeikis, showcased her sculpted figure in this fitted ensemble.
Rounding out our list of top menswear-inspired looks are Amber Heard, Rita Ora, Elizabeth Olsen, Victoria and David Beckham in matching ensembles, and Harry Styles, who deserves special props for his floral-patterned Gucci suit chosen for the 2015 American Music Awards. As far as celebrity fashion goes, let's hear it for the boys!
