Kim Cattrall is set to host this year's Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards (CAFA) on Apr. 15 in Toronto. In its third year, the honours are considered to be Canada's top fashion nod, recognizing the best and brightest in all aspects of the industry. CAFA also announced on Thursday (Mar. 31) that the Vanguard award recipient for 2016 is none other than supermodel Elle Macpherson.
Designers from some of the country's top brands, including nominees like Greta Constantine, Pink Tartan and Lucian Matis, will join the Sex and the City star at this year's bash. “CAFA continues to raise the profile of Canadian designers, and I am proud to be a part of such a prestigious celebration of their achievements. I am committed to wearing and supporting Canadian designers on and off screen," said Kim in a statement.
The Vanguard award presented by Hudson's Bay is awarded to "individuals that have brought international attention to the fashion industry," notes CAFA. Elle was a shoo-in for the award given her, "expansive modelling portfolio, including a record five covers of the Sports Illustrated Annual Swimsuit Edition, to the launch of both her lingerie and global wellness company."
