On Modern Family, Sarah Hyland's character Haley Dunphy is fashion obsessed and even dreams of becoming a designer. Now it appears life is imitating art as Candie's has announced that the actress will take on the role of their first-ever creative director.
The line is known for clothing and accessories that are specifically on-trend for young girls.
"I grew up looking at Candie’s ads and hearing my friends' experiences as Candie’s girls, but the added influence of being named the first Creative Director is really exciting for me. I love fashion, it’s a part of who I am," the 25-year-old said in a statement.
"I love that I get to have influence on this line because not only are the clothes really fashion-forward, but they are offered at an affordable price-point, which means fans of mine can afford what we’re selling."
As part of the deal, the star will not only have a hand in creating the company's spring 2017 collection, but she'll also star in the ad campaign. Previous famous faces who have worked with Candie's include Britney Spears, Lea Michele and Canada's own Carly Rae Jepsen.
"Eclectic gracefulness," is the style she gravitates toward. "Some days I feel like I want to look like I’m on a yacht, like Jackie Kennedy; other days I want to feel like I’m in Morocco and [go for] a whole bohemian feel."
