Chris Pratt's BTS commentary for his 'InStyle' shoot is the best
By Sarah Walker
Chris Pratt has hilariously detailed what it's like for a celebrity to take part in a magazine photo shoot, and we can't get enough of his commentary. The 37-year-old was recently named InStyle's "September Man of Style" and, in advance of the magazine hitting shelves, he previewed some of the pics on Instagram. The shots are undoubtedly sexy, but it's his take on how each image came together that had us in hysterics.
The behind-the-scenes glimpse starts with the Jurassic World actor's explanation of what it's like to be on set.
"Everyone who was there that hot day we were doing the photo shoot was really nice. They had nice food spread out. And they played good country music. And there were horses all over the place."
He then moves on to muse about his "model-worthy wardrobe."
"Full disclosure I did not pick out any of the clothes which is kinda funny for a guy who is called the "man of style." I mostly like T shirts with American flags on them. Usually I go for the one on the top of the 'shirt pile,'" he joked. "The people who picked out the clothes have good style. No doubt. Oh! They even gave me a shirt!!!! Such a nice shirt. Like a flannel shirt but made out of pajamas and the thing cost like $500 or something ridiculous but they just gave it to me!!!"
There's a recap of how he chose to pose in certain shots.
"In this photo I try to casually put my left hand in my pocket but the pants are so tight I get the tip of three fingers in," he wrote. "Also I was sweating so bad they give me that hat."
Chris even mentions his attempt at wearing a very Canadian fashion statement: the denim tuxedo. "Here I'm pretending to itch my neck in a Canadian tuxedo. Also, I am squinting. And thinking, 'Hmm, is it smokey in here? Am I allergic to smoke? Does it make my neck itchy?'"
The busy dad wraps up his commentary with a snap where he's posing alongside a horse.
"I put that hat on the horses head. Boom. My idea!" he wrote. "I'm like the horse whisperer. Right after this I got it to stand on one foot and break a board with a blind fold on. Then I jumped it. Over a mountain. Not to brag."
The photo shoot happened just before the release of the actor's new movie The Magnificent Seven. The modern western co-stars Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke and Peter Sarsgaard. It's set to hit theatres on Sept. 23.
