Hillary Clinton models namesake shoes designed by Katy Perry

Hillary Clinton can now add footwear model to her storied resume thanks to her friend Katy Perry. The former Secretary of State happily showed off a pair of pink pumps designed and dubbed “The Hillary” by the “Rise” singer. The popstar shared a snap on Instagram Monday (Apr. 11) of the politician wearing her shoes with a metallic coat, crisp white pants and flashy smile to match.

The “Chained To The Rhythm” songstress encouraged fans to go buy the colourful pumps before the sell-out. “⚡️POWER PUMP⚡️your way over to katyperrycollections.com for the last few hours of the spring 25% sale,” wrote the singer, before adding how much she adores Hillary. “@HillaryClinton is wearing #TheHillary (OMG I LOVE HER SO MUCH).”

The pointed-toe pumps are made of luxurious suede, feature a clear heel embedded with small metallic gold stars and come in a variety of sizes from 5 to 11.

Reflecting on her foray into fashion, the 32-year-old told People magazine, “For half my career, people have been asking me when I’m getting into fashion. It’s always been simmering under the surface, but I wanted to do it the right way and be the real creative contributor. This is something that I’ve created from the bottom up.”

Katy Perry Collections also includes a sparkly sneaker created in honour of Girls multi-hyphenate Lena Dunham.

This is not the first time that Katy and Hillary have supported one another professionally. The singer-songwriter was one of Hillary’s most vocal supporters during her run for president and even performed at a rally for the Democratic politician in Philadelphia on November 5, 2016.
