Cara Delevingne, Gal Gadot and more models turned actresses

From icons like Naomi Campbell to new beauties like Emily Ratajkowski, more and more models are swapping the runway for the big screen.
For example, summer's box office queen Gal Gadot was a successful model before trading in her high heels and designer clothes for Wonder Woman's uniform.
Another model turned actress is Cara Delevingne, who this month will further establish herself as a leading lady when she explores the science fiction world of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

Cara Delevingne
Before her starring role in this summer's blockbuster Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets and breakout performances in Paper Towns and Suicide Squad, Cara was one of the fashion industry's most in-demand models. She worked for basically every single fashion house (think Burberry, DKNY, Tom Ford, Fendi) and was one of Karl Lagerfeld's muses at Chanel.
In 2015, she announced she quit modelling to concentrate on her film career.

Emily Ratajkowski
As a teenager, the brunette bombshell fronted multiple fashion campaigns and walked on runways for designers like Miu Miu and Marc Jacobs.
Before her career-making turn in Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" music video, Emily dabbled in television, appearing on a few episodes of iCarly.
Her acting career started to blossom in 2014 thanks to a role opposite Ben Affleck in Gone Girl. Some of her recent credits include Spoils Before Dying and We Are Your Friends.

Cameron Diaz
Before Cameron became one of Hollywood's highest paid actresses, the blond beauty modelled for Calvin Klein and Levi's. She also appeared on the cover of the July 1990 issue of Seventeen magazine.
The San Diego native hung up her modelling shoes in 1994 when she landed the lead role in the hit comedy The Mask. She followed it up with a scene-stealing gig in My Best Friend's Wedding opposite Julia Roberts and hasn't looked back since.

As one of 2017's biggest stars, Gal is a force to be reckoned with thanks to her starring role in Wonder Woman.

Gal is also a card carrying member of the Fast and the Furious franchise thanks to her starring role in 2015's Furious 7.
