Duchess Kate continues to collect fashion fans! Like her husband Prince William’s mother Princess Diana before her, the royal is a bona fide style icon, and when she wears a piece the “Kate Effect” not only starts new trends but sells each item out in mere minute. Her latest admirer is Jillian Harris, the Canadian lifestyle blogger and host of Love It or List It Vancouver, who revealed that she takes major fashion inspiration from the Duchess.
Speaking exclusively to HELLO! Canada about the PC Optimum rewards merger (and some of her favourite beauty products – more to come on that later!), the multi-hyphenate star let us in on her sartorial secret. “I love [her] timelessness,” she said of the pregnant royal. “She’s got such a beautiful figure and hair and her style is just so classy.” The mother of one-year-old Leo also noted Kate’s ability to combine elegance with a bit of trend here and there. “I love a mix of that edginess and boho New York style with a super-classy, almost Ralph Lauren style.”
And the 38-year-old was definitely dressing the part, calling to mind Kate’s extensive outerwear collection. The picture of fashion-forward coziness in a stunning pastel-pink overcoat, Jillian was giving serious Duchess vibes. “Today I was wearing this pink, sort of boucle peacoat and it was from Joe Fresh and under $50!” And while Kate often steps out in high-end brands like Alexander McQueen, she also loves a deal, collecting staple items from fast-fashion stores like H&M and Zara.
Luckily for Jillian and royal watchers, the Duchess has been rocking some incredible looks while on tour in Sweden and Norway. In the past two days, the expectant mother of two has stunned in a variety of outfits, from a red-and-white houndstooth coast to a kelly green Catherine Walker ensemble. Jillian’s sure to be taking notes!
