Victoria Beckham is typically praised for her incredible fashion sense, but Wednesday's headlines weren't working in her fashionable favour. The designer stepped out in Paris on Mar. 28 wearing a burgundy and white plaid two-piece from her own pre-autumn 2018 collection. One online publication quickly compared it to a laundry bag, sending the internet into a flurry.
The busy mother of four was spotted at the Gare du Nord station and at the Margiela 1989-2009 exhibit at the Palais Galleria. The fashion-forward designer's outfit even got compared to a tablecloth by some readers online, but at the end of the day, the former Spice Girls' checked pattern choice is all down to personal taste and the style was definitely a flattering one.
The buttoned-up collar is a cute touch and the cinched-in waist and tapered sleeves look great on the former singer. Victoria accessorized with a maroon leather handbag, her trademark dark shades and matching maroon boots. She wore her hair in a casual up-do for the outing.
Earlier in the month, the famous mum showcased a stunning transitional outfit for spring –a gold-toned yellow pleated skirt from her own collection, also in Paris. The pleated skirt nailed numerous trends in one: pleats, buttery hues and the hugely popular, on-trend midi length. Victoria had many outfit changes in the French Capital – the day before she looked incredible donning a tan ensemble which she teamed with black knee-high boots and a structured handbag.
