Victoria Beckham's 'laundry bag' look in Paris has the internet talking

Victoria Beckham is typically praised for her incredible fashion sense, but Wednesday's headlines weren't working in her fashionable favour. The designer stepped out in Paris on Mar. 28 wearing a burgundy and white plaid two-piece from her own pre-autumn 2018 collection. One online publication quickly compared it to a laundry bag, sending the internet into a flurry.

The busy mother of four was spotted at the Gare du Nord station and at the Margiela 1989-2009 exhibit at the Palais Galleria. The fashion-forward designer's outfit even got compared to a tablecloth by some readers online, but at the end of the day, the former Spice Girls' checked pattern choice is all down to personal taste and the style was definitely a flattering one.

The outfit was compared to a laundry bag

The buttoned-up collar is a cute touch and the cinched-in waist and tapered sleeves look great on the former singer. Victoria accessorized with a maroon leather handbag, her trademark dark shades and matching maroon boots. She wore her hair in a casual up-do for the outing.

Earlier in the month, the famous mum showcased a stunning transitional outfit for spring –a gold-toned yellow pleated skirt from her own collection, also in Paris. The pleated skirt nailed numerous trends in one: pleats, buttery hues and the hugely popular, on-trend midi length. Victoria had many outfit changes in the French Capital – the day before she looked incredible donning a tan ensemble which she teamed with black knee-high boots and a structured handbag.
