As one of the most highly anticipated moments of the year drew closer, royal watchers gathered around the St Mary’s Hospital Lindo Wing to catch a glimpse of Prince William and Duchess Kateon April 23. In addition to getting a glimpse of their third royal baby, fans were dying to see what the stylish royal chose to wear for the momentous occasion. Stepping through the doors came the now mother of three clad in one of her favourite designers, Jenny Packham.
The gorgeous couple were overjoyed with happiness as they debuted their little boy to the world, and Kate certainly had a glow about her! Showing off her megawatt smile, the Duchess dazzled in a stunning red frock with a darling white lace collar. Her hair, as usual, was waved to perfection, showing off her natural beauty and pearl drop earrings. Some have drawn comparisons between Kate and the late Princess Diana ’s Lindo Wing looks – Diana wore a red dress just like her to debut her second son, Prince Harry, to the world back in September 1984.
Many guessed right that the prince’s birth was imminent, as Kate was nowhere to be found at the Queen’s 92 nd birthday party that took place at the Royal Albert Hall over the weekend. And given that St George’s Day was the unofficial due date, it’s no surprise that Kensington Palace made the official announcement early in the morning.
But Kate and William weren’t the only duo to grace the steps of Lindo Wing. Prince George and Princess Charlotte were the first ones to arrive – Charlotte, who waved happily at the crowd and George, who looked serious, yet excited. The 2-year-old princess dressed for the occasion in an adorable blue dress, while George donned his school uniform. The two are officially big siblings to their younger brother, who is now fifth in line to the throne.
