Every time Meghan Markle steps out, her incredible fashion choices send royal watchers to the shops to snatch up her latest finds. On top of being charming, intelligent, talented and a fierce activist for women's rights, this royal-to-be's style is both chic and accessible for all budgets and body types. And plus-size blogger Katie Sturino of The 12ish Style knows it – you don't have to be a princess to dress like one.
Katie thinks that Meghan's elegant looks are for everyone, which is why she's included the future royal bride on her celebrity #SupersizeTheLook series on her Instagram. She told HELLO! UKthat she created the idea to "show women of all sizes they can pull off celebrity styles." Naturally, there are few women more in the spotlight than Ms Markle, so we recognize some of her most chic looks from out and about with her fiancé, Prince Harry. She's rocked Meghan's chic two-tone J.Crew coat, her casual double-denim look, and camel pencil skirt.
Katie revealed she dresses differently to Meghan in her normal life, telling us: "My personal style is a bit more edgy and colorful, but Meghan is working within the confines of being a royal so everything has to be a bit more subdued. I think she is doing a great job of looking fresh while not going over the top."
So if, like us, you’ve thought her outfits sometimes look readier for the runway than they do for our non-royal wardrobes, then think again. Just because you don't have a royal hubby-to-be and a personal trainer, there’s no reason not to go regal with your looks.
But it’s not just royal looks that Katie pulls off in plus-size, as Meghan isn’t the only celeb's style that Katie has replicated. Uou can also find her emulating Reese Witherspoon, Bella Hadid, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Check out her Instagram @12ishstyle.
And for those of you tying the knot later this year, will Katie manage to find a replica dress for Meghan's extra-special May 19 dress? "If I can find one in my size", Katie explains. "That’s always the challenge with my looks!"
