Trust Celine Dionto always bring her A-game, both with her powerhouse vocals and inimitable sense of style. The Canadian chanteuse gave her Instagram followers a sneak peek of her bound-to-be-epic tour wardrobe on Monday (June 18), and it’s just as colourful as her personality.
Posing in a grey feathered dress with eye-catching hot pink accents – like a belt and over-the-top shoulder pads – the mother of three was snapped in her dressing room looking fierce as ever. Pairing the mini dress with sparkly heeled boots, the 50-year-old’s “Team Céline” captioned the snap: “Fittings for the tour are serious business!” And if this is a taste of what’s to come, we can’t wait to see the other ensembles she breaks out for Celine Dion Live, which kicks off in Tokyo on June 26 and runs until Aug. 14, ending in New Zealand.
On top of her bubbly persona and over-the-top taste in clothing, Celine also has an eye for designers who she knows can perfect her vision. For the epic Billboard Music Awards performance of her hit track “My Heart Will Go On” in 2017, the singer stunned in a white avant-garde creation – boasting huge, billowing shoulders and a plunging neckline – created by Stephane Rolland, as selected by Law Roach. The talented stylist was also responsible for the jaw-dropping sequinned gown that she wore to open her 2017 Las Vegas residency, and many more of her looks to come. What’s so great about Celine is that she can wear everything from the most glamorous of gowns to the most paired down of outfits (think: that Vetements Titanic hoodie she wore in Paris in 2017) – and still look flawless.
And it’s plain to see that she takes fashion as seriously as her performances. No matter where the Quebec native goes, she’s sure to take her sartorial prowess with her. Take last year’s fashion tour in Europe, for example. The GRAMMY winner turned the streets of Europe into a catwalk, serving her fans incredible looks left, right and centre, from structured blazers and kick-flair trousers to head-to-toe satin get-ups that only Queen Celine could pull off to perfection.
