Princess Beatriceknows a thing or two about style! The annual Serpentine Summer Party offers an opportunity for socialites and royals to show their sartorial prowess, and this year saw some Canadian fashion sprinkled in for good measure. Showing her edgier side in a rocker-chic ensemble, Meghan Markle’s new cousin slipped into one of the Duchess’s fave Canuck brand’s on Tuesday (June 19): Aritzia!
The 29-year-old combined leather and colour to perfection on the night out in London with her sister, Princess Eugenie. Pairing a peacock-print dress by Mary Katrantzou with a sleek set of metallic shoes, the royal kept her shoulders warm with a stunning leather biker jacket by the Canadian retailer Wilfred Free for Aritzia. The ‘Richards Leather Biker jacket’(priced at $575), is a new addition for the brand, recreating the classic look with a more slimmed down and slightly cropped body for the ultimate grunge-meets-classy piece.
Meghan’s love for the brand is well-documented, so perhaps her roster of go-to Canadian labels are rubbing off on Beatrice! Coats, in particular, are a staple for the Duchess of Sussex, who stepped out in Bath in April with Prince Harry wearing a beautiful khaki trench coat by another Aritzia favourite, Babton. Another fan favourite was a maroon dress by the in-house brand Wilfred, which she dazzled in while attending the Invictus Games’ opening ceremony in Toronto in September.
Princess Eugenie, the bride-to-be, was also looking on the edgier side for the annual event. Attending the Serpentine’s annual soiree with her fiancé, Jack Brooksbank, the 28-year-old royal wowed in a pair of leather pants with an asymmetrical dress by Meghan’s designer friend Roland Mouret. Paired with very unique stiletto boots, Eugenie was the picture of cool!
