The duchesses of style have landed! For the second day in a row, Meghan Markle and Duchess Kate put their best fashion feet forward for the Royal Air Force flypast and service celebrating the organization’s 100 th anniversary on Tuesday (July 10). The two dazzled in very different but equally gorgeous looks, with Meghan wowing in a designer and cut she has never worn before.
After dazzling in a beautiful cream V-neck dress by Alexander McQueen yesterday at Prince Louis’ christening , topped off with a stunning Jane Taylor headband, the Duchess of Cambridge donned yet another beautiful look by the British label. Wearing a pastel blue coatdress, the mother of three accessorized with a small matching clutch, beige heels and a fascinator by Sean Barrett. The outfit called to mind a similar ensemble that Kate wore to Meghan and Prince Harry’s wedding day on May 19 – a pale yellow version – as well as the cream take on the look that she chose for Princess Charlotte’s 2015 baptism.
The Duchess of Sussex perfectly blended old and new for her first time donning Dior. The black dress featured her favored bateau neckline and a tailored waist accentuated by a thin belt. Normally spotted wearing more fitted silhouettes, the royal switched things up a bit with a much fuller skirt, giving off retro princess vibes. Looking no further than her go-to milliner Stephen Jones, who crafted her stunning black fascinator, the 36-year-old pulled the look together with a pair of nude heels and a black clutch by the luxury French design house. Her look definitely made us say “J’adore Dior!”
It’s a busy day for the former actress, who will be heading off to Ireland with her husband later in the day for an official two-day visit – their first overseas! The lovebirds will spend time learning about Irish culture and heritage, which will include trips to a Gaelic sports festival at Croke Park and a summer garden party.
