For the first time ever, the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge have united for the ultimate girls' day out! Meghan joined All England Lawn Tennis patron Kate for an afternoon in the royal box on day twelve of Wimbledon, stepping out to support the former actress's tennis champ friend Serena Williams, who is competing in the Ladies' Singles Finals on Saturday (July 14). And just as fans expected, the royals were dressed to impress!
Mother-of-three Kate, who is currently on maternity leave with Prince Louis, looked fresh and elegant in a white short-sleeved Jenny Packham dress with a polka-dot pattern and gathered fabric on the hip. She finished the look with a Dolce & Gabbana bag. Meghan, who just returned from a whirlwind two-day tour of Ireland, was her typically chic self in a blue-and-white striped Ralph Lauren shirt and cream-coloured slacks, carrying her favourite panama hat to keep the sun's rays at bay and an Altuzarra handbag.
Kate is a fixture in the Wimbledon stands, having attended for many years wearing a who's who of designers, from Dolce & Gabbana to Alexander McQueen, and showing off her fun-loving nature with animated responses to the matches. Meghan was also photographed in the stands in 2016, before she went public in her romance with Prince Harry, wearing her then-signature white button-up shirt and jeans and again supporting her bestie Serena Williams.
The last time the 36-year-old royals appeared together was earlier this week at the Royal Air Force centenary celebrations, but they were joined by their husbands, Princes William and Harry, and other members of the Royal Family. They also stepped out as a family for Prince Louis' christening on Monday (July 9), which saw Meghan wearing Ralph Lauren once again - an olive-green boatneck dress with matching accessories. Kate, on the other hand, was a vision in her signature christening cream, a v-neck dress by Alexander McQueen with a matching headband by Jane Taylor.
