Shania Twain debuted not one, but four incredible looks at the Canadian Country Music Awards on Sept. 9, all of them by Canadian label Greta Constantine, so it’s no surprise that the woman behind the homegrown ensembles was fashion expert Jessica Mulroney! The country crooner hosted the show and received the Generation Award, but her wardrobe also won raves. Clearly Shania was in good hands, given the fact that Jessica has reportedly styled some of her bestie Meghan Markle’s most show-stopping looks (Ireland tour wardrobe, anyone?)
Appearing alongside some of the music industry’s hottest stars, like dashing Keith Urban and Canada’s own Alessia Cara, who presented Shania with the night’s biggest honour, the 53-year-old singer shined bright like a diamond in a sequinned pink off-the-shoulder gown, a red taffeta number, blue sequins accessorized with black ribbon and lastly, a jaw-dropping royal blue crushed-velvet robe. Jessica gave the velvet number some shape with a wide blue belt to match, an accessory that’s also found a fan in the Duchess of Sussex.
It was the perfect quartet of looks for the “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” singer’s red-carpet debut after more than a decade, and what better way to celebrate her stardom than by wearing creations by one amazing label from her home country. Jessica has a penchant for bringing Canadian designers to the forefront, just as she’s reportedly done with the 37-year-old duchess’s wardrobe choices – from her elegant engagement photo coat by LINE the Label to her trench dress by the luxury brand NONIE.
Shania took home four awards that evening, including the Apple Music Fans’ Choice Award, as well as the Generation Award. Taking to the stage as more than just host that evening, the celebrated star sang one of her biggest hits, “Come On Over,” to a screaming crowd of adoring fans. Shania hits the road on Sept. 19 to resume her SHANIA NOW tour in Glasgow, bringing her killer style to stages throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
