Duchess Kate's best casual looks, from jeans to puffer jackets

The Duchess of Cambridge's stylish reign may be heavy on elegant fare, she's also the queen of casual! Though she have a penchant for a beautifully patterned dress or chic tailored coat, there's no denying the fact that she can just as perfectly rock jeans, leather boots and puffer jackets. Royal watchers love when she dusts off a tiara and gown, but even more so when she dresses down and shows the world that she's just like the rest of us!

For her first official royal outing of the new year, the Duchess of Cambridge had her green thumb on full display! On Tuesday (Jan. 15), Kate wore the most perfectly casual ensemble for a visit to King Henry's Garden Walk. She oozed cool in a Dubarry Bracken tweed jacket, olive skinny jeans, a maroon turtleneck sweater and hiking boots that some have identified as See by Chloe.

On Oct. 2, Kate returned to her royal duties after maternity leave. She recycled her Zara moto pants and her trusty pair of Penelope Chilvers tassel boots, that she's been spotted wearing since 2004! She completed the look with a Fjallraven jacket and an olive-green sweater with a Joseph Rainer blouse underneath. For accessories, Kate kept it simple with her engagement ring and a dazzling pair of Monica Vinader Green Onyx Siren Wire earrings.

While attending the America's Cup World Series in Portsmouth in 2016, the duchess donned the most chic-yet-sporty outfit – black jeans, nude pumps and a tri-colour polo shirt. But her classic curls were perfectly in place!

The Duchess of Cambridge's trip to India was the perfect moment to break out her favourite pair of khakis! On a visit to Kaziranga National Park for an open air Jeep safari in 2016, she paired the pants with flats and a polkadot button-up. A pair of sunnies kept her hair back as she chatted with officials.

Kate is the queen of safari chic! She dusted off her trusty Penelope Chilvers boots, pairing them with a Jaeger linen blouse and a dark green vest from Really Wild while tackling a hike to Paro Taktsang, the Tiger's Nest monastery, during her 2016 tour of Bhutan.

Prince William and Kate were perfectly colour-coordinated during their 2012 trip to Borneo. For a walk through the rainforest at the research center in Danum Valley, the mother of three rocked a loose button-up, khaki pants and a pair of hiking boots.

Anyone who knows the Duchess of Cambridge is aware of her athletic prowess - and she knows exactly how to dress for the occasion! While meeting with All Blacks captain Richie McCaw at a young players' rugby in New Zealand, Kate paired slim navy pants with a sweet sweater and sneakers.

Kate loves a colourful puffer jacket just like the rest of us. She wore an all-black outfit, New Balance sneakers and the fitted coat to a visit with the Aston Villa Football Club to see the work of the Coach Core program in 2017.

While enjoying a day on the farm, the duchess looked cool as ever in Penelope Chilvers knee-high leather boots, moto-style Zara jeans and a khaki windbreaker. Kate was visiting Farms for City Children, a charity which offers children in the United Kingdom a chance to live and work on a real farm for a week.

Stripes become her! Kate wore a fun long-sleeved T-shirt, navy pants and crisp white Superga sneakers to a 2017 reception for runners of Team Heads Together, a mental-health awareness campaign started by Kate, Prince Harry and Prince William.

This is definitely one of our favourite sporty Kate looks to date! She rocked a pair of Nike sneakers, Monreal tuxedo pants and a PlayBrave zip-up jacket for her day visiting the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative at Bond Primary School.
