The Duchess of Sussex has been making her royal tour with Prince Harry her personal catwalk, debuting new and colourful looks all over the South Pacific. And of course, none of her ensembles are complete without thoughtful details that pay tribute to a person ( like Serena Williams!) or a place (Fijian blue!) she loves. For her arrival in the Kingdom of Tonga, and for two events in Australia, Meghan accessorized with beautiful rings by Montreal label Ecksand.
The luxury brand’s made-in-Canada styles check off a few boxes for the mother-to-be! Meghan once called Canada her home, and she loves paying tribute to one of her favourite countries. The label also represents a cause very close to her and Prince Harry’s hearts – ethical consumerism and craftsmanship! Ecksand makes sure all of their jewels are ethically sourced, and that the actual production and sale of the pieces has a low carbon impact.
If that’s not enough, they’re also beautiful! The 37-year-old has a keen eye for jewelry, and quickly made herself known for her mismatched earrings and trendy stackable rings, not to mention her affinity for Canadian baubles (Birks, anyone?). On Oct. 20, the parents-to-be stepped out for the Invictus Games in Sydney, and the duchess wore three Ecksand pieces: the diamond (CA$980), the sapphire (CA$933) and the emerald (CA$933) from their Showcase collection. Fans even ventured a guess that they were a tribute to her growing family: Prince Harry’s September birthstone is the sapphire, the evening emerald (or peridot) represents Meghan’s August birthdate and April, the diamond, is the likely due date for Baby Sussex!

The former actress also wore two of the stackable gems when she and Harry touched down in Tonga, looking radiant in a beautiful red Self-Portrait dress and, of course, her engagement ring on the other hand. That evening at the Invictus Games’ official opening ceremony, Meghan dazzled in not three but six of the brand’s pieces, perfectly complementing her Stella McCartney dress.
