Prince Louis is proof that fashion knows no age! After his recent adorable appearance in Prince Charles’ 70 th birthday portraits, royal admirers noticed a lot more than just his sweet smile and bond with his grandpa – they also noticed his chic baby style, and you better believe it’s already sold out.
The little prince, who was welcomed into the Cambridge clan back in April, made the sweetest of photo stars in a smocked outfit by Spanish brand La Coqueta. But he’s shown that he takes after his mom, the Duchess of Cambridge, in more than just his looks and charm – he’s unwittingly caused the “Louis Effect,” promptly selling out his blue-and-white outfit after the darling portraits were released.
Typically, most items Kate debuts for her various royal outings sell out in minutes, too. And just like her sister-in-law, Duchess Meghan has also caused her fair share of ensembles to fly off the shelves – like the cream Line the Label coat she wore for her engagement photos with Prince Harry.
Speaking to People, La Coqueta founder Celia Munoz opened up about the exciting occasion: “It sold out immediately – it’s amazing the effect it has on a small brand like us! It was a total surprise but really wonderful, and I am very proud.” Louis’ outfit is made up of two separate parts sold together – a little white cotton shirt, boasting a hand-stitched blue smock and a Peter Pan collar (his mom’s outfit featured a similar collar that day, too!) made in Spain by family-run workshops. “The people who made it were incredible thrilled, just as I was,” Celia gushed. The adorable number is on sale now for $70.74, meaning your little boy could dress like a prince, too!
Two other adorable members of European royal families stepped out in the darling brand recently! India Casiraghi, 3, and one-year-old Maximilian both donned La Coqueta creations to celebrate Monaco’s National Day on Nov. 19. The young girl, daughter of Andrea and Tatiana Casiraghi, looked beautiful in the designer’s Arjona dress, paired with a royal blue bow tied around her head. Max made the cutest royal baby in their navy-blue Romper Dungarees.
