Duchess Meghan donned one of her go-to Canadian labels at King’s College London

She may be the Duchess of Sussex, but she’s also the queen of chic coats! During a surprise appearance at King’s College London on Wednesday (Dec. 5), Meghan rocked a casual yet refined look for the academic discussion, draping a camel coat over her shoulders while chatting with professionals. Though she’s made the United Kingdom her new home, the mom-to-be never leaves her former home base of Canada too far behind.
Keeping her baby bump warm for a the London visit that day was the Long Cocoon Coat by Aritizia’s higher-end label Wilfred, currently available for $350. The 37-year-old appears to own it in the colour Petale – a beautiful soft pink perfectly paired with a simple black crew-neck ensemble underneath and soft, bouncy waves.
The duchess has had a busy few days packed with secret engagements, from meeting with former First Lady Michelle Obama to attending a private carol service with her husband and his closest friends, where her baby bump was the talk of the town. But Meghan put on her academic cap to support a cause close to her heart: the importance of higher education.
At the college, she met with university leaders, academics and international scholarship students to “explore how higher education can help build a better world,” the Association of Commonwealth University reads . Staying true to Meghan’s values and passions, the event touched upon the role of educational institutions in addressing human trafficking and modern-day slavery, gender equality and inclusion, peace and reconciliation, and climate change and resilience.
Today we brought together university leaders, academics & #students to discuss how we can build a better world through #highered. We were honoured to be joined by HRH The Duchess of Sussex. Thanks to @KingsCollegeLon for hosting! https://t.co/SoowV30PFSpic.twitter.com/ugFQP46Gbg

The mom-to-be has been known to rock designs by the Canadian brand in the past. Just before making her public debut with Prince Harry, Meghan wore the gorgeous maroon Beaune dress by Wilfred at the Invictus Games opening ceremony in Toronto last year. For an official Invictus engagement in Bath earlier this year, the duchess donned a chic military green coat by another of Aritzia’s labels, Babaton. We love that the stylish royal’s maternity wardrobe is incorporating labels from her Toronto days!
