The Duchess of Sussex has dusted off a particularly meaningful pair of earrings for the Queen's pre-Christmas lunch on Wednesday (Dec. 19) - the Galanterie de Cartier white gold and diamond studs that she wore on her royal wedding day this past May. As she arrived at Buckingham Palace with Prince Harry, fans got a glimpse of the striking baubles as well as her pretty semi-sheer Erdem dress, which features a high, ruffled collar and green, blue and gold pattern. She first wore the design for a segment on the Today show in 2016.
The pregnant royal was positively glowing in the passenger seat of the car driven by her husband, wearing her signature bronzed makeup look with black liner and mascara and a glossy pink lip. Meghan traded the polished, centre-parted bun she wore to an engagement yesterday for a sleek, straight blowout.
This is the newly minted royal's second time attending the monarch's annual holiday kickoff. The meal brings together members of the extended Royal Family to toast and be merry before a select group heads to Sandringham, where the Sussexes will spend the season once again this year.
In 2017, newly engaged Meghan wore a lacy Self Portrait design, the Nightshade midi dress, as she surprised and delighted royal watchers with her attendance - it's rare for significant others to attend holiday festivities until they're officially part of 'the firm.' She finished the look with a similarly sleek hairstyle and beauty look and a pair of arched diamond earrings.
The mom-to-be is officially kicking off her holiday after a fun-filled engagement on Tuesday (Dec. 18) at the Royal Variety Charity's Brinsworth House nursing and care home, where she met retired members of the entertainment industry. Meghan donned a pretty floral dress by Brock Collection and her favourite Aquazzura Deneuve Bow pumps, which she topped off with Canadian pieces - Soia & Kyo's belted grey coat and diamond studs by Birks.
Next week will be an exciting one as Prince Harry and Meghan join the Cambridges for a jam-packed Christmas at the Queen's Norfolk estate, where various feasts are punctuated with gag gifts, Her Majesty's annual speech and a trip to St Mary Magdalene church - where fans will get another glimpse of the expecting royal in her holiday finest!
