Though there were some showers in London, nothing could rain on the Royal Family's parade as they arrived at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday (Dec. 19). Members of family rolled up to its gates to enjoy the Queen’s annual pre-Christmas lunch – and, of course, the Duchess of Cambridge didn’t forget to bring her fashion savvy to the occasion…
The mother of three, with Prince George and Princess Charlotte in tow, dazzled in a pastel pink blouse featuring a pussy bow and embellished shoulders. She wore her shiny brunette locks in her classic voluminous curls and kept her makeup look simple to show off her natural beauty, accessorizing with her iconic engagement ring, pearl drop earrings and a swipe of neutral-hued lipstick. She was joined by her handsome husband, who looked dapper as ever in a navy suit and tie.
Her bright ensemble this year is definitely a change from last year’s aesthetic. For Her Majesty’s lunch in 2017, Kate looked no further than one of her favourite labels, Goat, for their berry hued ‘Eloise’ tunic dress. She paired the look with a long cloth cape by Zara, accessorizing with a faux fur collar by Jigsaw.
Since then, the 37-year-old duchess has been introducing more colour into her wardrobe. Back in November, the beautiful royal dazzled in a bright pink gown for Prince Charles’ birthday gala, accessorized with jaw-dropping diamond drop earrings and an elegant updo. For a visit to the BBC that month, Kate went with a bold Emilia Wickstead turquoise dress, complete with a unique square neckline, and just a day prior stunned in a bright blue Eponine coatdress to stop by Quarry View, a centre that supports homeless young people.
We’re loving the Cambridge beauty’s evolving wardrobe and can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store for this fashion maven – after we ogle her Christmas Day church look, that is!
