Last year all eyes were on the future Duchess of Sussex on Christmas Day as she publicly curtsied to the Queen for the first time ever, and now Meghan has returned to the scene for another holiday season with her new Royal Family. Showing just how much can happen in a year, the former actress now has her royal wedding to Prince Harry and first official tour behind her and a blossoming baby bump to dress - and the pregnant royal showed off her style credentials once again in a chic holiday ensemble on Dec. 25.
Duchess Meghan opted for a British designer as she walked side by side with her sister-in-law Kate outside St. Mary Magdalene church in Sandringham. The mom-to-be paired a sleek coat and slouchy leather boots by Victoria Beckham with a black v-neck dress and a hat festooned with fabric feathers. She wore her brown locks in a pretty side bun and had her pregnancy glow on full display with mascara and a pink lip. She held onto hubby Prince Harry's arm, who was clad in a navy suit, matching overcoat and light blue tie.
Just as they did last year, the Sussexes walked side by side with Prince William and Kate as they arrived at the church. In contrast to Meghan's dark ensemble, the mom of three was the picture of festive cheer in an all-red ensemble as the two smiled and chatted alongside their husbands. A host of other royals were on hand for the annual tradition, including Sophie Wessex, Princess Beatrice, Zara and Mike Tindall, Prince Charles, Her Majesty and Peter and Autumn Phillips, with their adorable daughters Savannah and Isla in tow.
Last year, Meghan wore a camel coat by Canadian label Sentaler with a Philip Treacy hat, Birks diamond snowflake earrings and brown leather gloves, toting a Chloe Pixie bag. She anchored her autumnal ensemble with slouchy brown suede Stuart Weitzman boots. Opting for a more wintery festive look, the then-pregnant Duchess of Cambridge slipped into a plaid, double-breasted Miu Miu coat with velvet trim, a Peruvian Connection alpaca hat, black tights and pumps and carried a small clutch.
The family is in the midst of their annual holiday celebrations in Sandringham, where they gather at the Queen's 20,000-acre estate each year to enjoy a series of traditions, some dating back to Queen Elizabeth's childhood! Prince William and Kate opt to stay with their children just down the road at their country home, Anmer Hall, a quick ride to the 'big house' for all the festive fun!
Yesterday, the children opened their presents at tea time as their parents and grandparents traded gag gifts before attending a black-tie, candlelit dinner at 8 pm. This morning, they enjoyed a full English breakfast before heading to church, after which it's turkey with all the trimmings and the Queen's annual Christmas speech.
