Royal style of the month – February 2019

The year has only just begun, and the royal women are already debuting some of their finest looks – from Duchess Kate's glamorous Alexander McQueen ensemble for the 2019 BAFTAs to Duchess Meghan's red-carpet Givenchy look at the Endeavour Fund Awards and Queen Máxima's chic pantsuits and hats.

Leaving her hotel in New York City on Feb. 19, the pregnant royal looked elegant as ever in a perfectly monochrome outfit featuring some of her favourite designers. She sported a pair of black maternity trousers by the brand Hatch –
a brand she's worn before during her pregnancy. She kept her baby bump warm with a striking vintage coat (circa 1965) by Courreges.
She carried a chic grey shopper purse by Carolina Herrera, accessorizing with her pair of Le Specs 'Air Heart' sunglasses to beat the city sun, as well as one of her favourite rings – Love Ring by Solange Azagury Partridge – which she first wore on
a visit to The Hub Community Kitchen last year. Meghan kept her beauty look simple, not straying far from what she typically likes to wear – a bit of bronzer, a pink lip and her dark hair down by her shoulders, perfectly showing off her Pippa Small earrings. She also wore a bangle bracelet by Bar Jewelry and anchored the ensemble with a pair of Stuart Weitzman pumps.

Red for Valentine's Day! On Feb. 14 – after dazzling in her engagement outfit from 16 years ago – Queen Letizia received the Spanish community at the National Library in Rabat, Morocco. She dazzled in a glittering red dress, accessorizing with a matching red leather clutch and strappy heels.

While visiting Morocco with her husband, King Felipe, on Feb. 14, the brunette beauty donned the crisp white Prada suit she wore for her engagement announcement in 2003. For a gala evening with 100 Women in Finance, for which Kate is a patron, the Duchess of Sussex wore an ethereal blush pink Gucci gown. The dress featured drapes of pink and cream fabric, as well as a crushed velvet berry belt around her midsection. Her small velvet Prada clutch matched the belt perfectly, and she anchored the look with a pair of silver Oscar de la Renta heels. The duchess kept her brunette locks in a half-up-half-down look – perfectly showing off her dazzling Kiki McDonough earrings – keeping her makeup look simple with a smoky eye and bronzed cheek.

Wearing a silhouette she's loved as of late, the Duchess Kate paired her skirt suit with opaque grey tights, anchoring the ensemble with simple suede black pumps, for a mental health conference in London on Feb. 13.
As for accessories, Kate chose a small black clutch and a dainty pair of dangling earrings. The mother of three kept her makeup look simple and refined, with a subtle smoky eye and a slightly glossy lip. Of course, she sported her trademark bouncy waves and didn't forget her megawatt smile for the event.

While meeting with Dr. Ziad Fariz of the Central Bank on Feb. 12 during her trip to Jordan, Queen Máxima dazzled in a contrasting dress by Giambattista Valli. She paired the number with beige suede pumps and an elegant black coat, styling her hair in beautiful bouncy blonde waves.

Queen Máxima has touched down in Jordan as part of a trip as the UN Secretary General Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development. While visiting a family in Salt – about 30 kilometers north of the capital of Amman – the royal dazzled in brown plaid flared pants and a chic brown belted coat. Wearing underneath the coat a brown turtleneck, the blond royal accessorized with brown suede boots.

The Duchess of Cambridge was a vision in white Alexander McQueen for the 2019 BAFTAs on Feb. 10. Walking the red carpet with her husband, Prince William, the mother of three turned heads in the one-shoulder gown, decorated with floral appliqué on the shoulder and boasting a flattering empire waistline. She accessorized the look with a pair of diamond and pearl earrings once owned by her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, as well as a diamond bracelet, Jimmy Choo Romy 100 Delivered with Chocolates style pumps and a white clutch, thought to be a bespoke piece by Alexander McQueen.

Duchess Kate met with Andree Davies and Adam White, of Davies White Landscape Architect, to dicsuss plans for her 'Back to Nature' garden, which will be entered at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May. For the outdoorsy meeting, Kate looked perfectly casual in her Bracken Tweed jacket by Dubarry, with her maroon Mockneck Sweater by J. Crew underneath.

For the Endeavour Awards on Feb. 7, the Duchess of Sussex looked no further than her royal wedding gown designer, Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. The black-and-white ensemble boasted a flattering leg slit, and she accessorized the look with her Givenchy satin clutch, a new pair of Aquazzura pumps (the Rendez Vous 105s) and her Vanessa Tugendhaft Precious Studs. Her beauty look was perfect – glowing and bronzed, with a pretty pink lip.

While stepping out in support of Place2Be to commemorate the start of Children's Mental Health Week on Feb. 5, Kate looked no further than London-based bespoke brand Eponine. The duchess wowed in the bright green jumper ensemble, paired with the chicest of lace-up booties and opaque black tights to make the colour really pop. As always, the 37-year-old wore her beautiful hair in bouncy, voluminous waves – and she didn't forget her megawatt smile while visiting with students taking part in a club which focuses on wellbeing. As for accessories, the duchess held a small black clutch and recycled her CA$3,115 diamond leaf earrings by Kiki McDonough.

On Feb. 4, Queen Letizia of Spain attended the forum against cancer at CaixaForum. For the important event, she dazzled in a black sweater, paired with a lovely brown skirt and thigh-high black boots. She accessorized with a gold clutch.

On Feb. 1, the Duchess of Sussex bundled up for the cold for a visit to Bristol! She dazzled in an elegant black coat by London-based designer William Vintage and an Oscar de la Renta belted printed silk-chiffon dress. Her boots, by Sarah Flint, were the ultimate accessory to bring some colour to the blustery day. She held a green bespoke Ralph Lauren clutch to match, keeping her long raven locks by her shoulders in pretty waves – a change from yesterday's knot bun for a visit to the University of London for a meeting with the Association for Commonwealth Universities.
The pregnant royal's makeup look was simple and refined – her natural beauty shining through – with a simple swipe of pink lipstick and subtle smoky eye. Meghan also wore her Pippa Small ‘Herkimer’ Diamond Earrings.
